Violence against women and girls has long been one of the most widespread violations in human rights.
It knows no national or cultural barriers; it takes place at home, in the workplace, and in open spaces; and effects millions of women and girls in peacetime and in conflict.
Zonta in Action
Life-sized freestanding silhouettes of women, men, and children each shares their true story as a victim of domestic violence in northern Colorado. They are placed in public areas as they silently bear ‘witness’ to a serious and ongoing problem.

Scholarships
Every year, from 25 November (International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women) to 10 December (Human Rights Day), the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence call for global solidarity to end violence against women and girls everywhere
