Zonta Club of Greeley is a group of professionals that work through service and advocacy to empower women and girls by raising their status, locally and internationally.
Our Vision
Zonta Club of Greeley envisions a world in which women’s rights are recognized as human rights and every woman is able to achieve her full potential.
In such a world, women have access to all resources and are represented in decision making positions on an equal basis with men.
In such a world, no woman lives in fear of violence.
Zonta Facts
- The name Zonta is derived from the Lakhota (Teton Dakota) word of the Native American Sioux peoples, meaning honest and trustworthy.
- Zonta colors are Mahogany and Gold.
- Zonta’s symbol is a yellow rose.
- Zonta International holds General Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council and Participatory Status with the Council of Europe. Zonta teams engage in these important intergovernmental organizations and in important events and campaigns to further our global advocacy efforts and our mission to empower women worldwide.
